Some commercials make me laugh every time I see them.  This one does But what happens to a brain when we lie? Are there some easy tips to spot a lie? Daily Infograpic addressed these questions in a post on 4/12/14.

I enjoy reading a good infographic.  This one addresses the historical stages of "the geek".  It is fitting to find this now as my students are finishing the first drafts of their papers on how things have changed. The Evolution of the Geek [infographic]

My family was not one of the first to dial-up and start surfing the internet.  I  remember using the internet first in 1993.  We had a large white screened Gateway computer with three dial-up services: AOL, Prodigy, and Comp-u-Serve. Also at this time, adults (including my parents) were all discussing what to do about chat rooms.  Its much the same at today's discussions about Facebook, Google+, and other such sites.  We are trying to figure out how to allow our children safe and teach them how to communicate appropriately. I was reminded of this because of today's "Daily Infographic".

A few days ago I came across Daily Infographic , a website devoted to publishing infographics.  The first time I heard the term infographic, I dismissed it as just a new educational term, a trend that simply re-packaged an old idea.  Well to some degree this is true.  An infographic visually presents complex information.  It is quite similar to an informational poster, a picture essay, and a digital poster.  In fact, if combine each of these you will have an infographic.   This infographic is about choosing a good password.  Most of us have many online accounts and with each new online service we are forced to create a new account with and password.  After reading this many of us may wish to rethink our existing passwords
